Flying Dragon Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Wutai. It was mostly buried by rocks after Typhoon Marakot but started to become uncovered again in 2013. Since then it’s gotten slightly taller every year, as heavy rains clear away the memory of past typhoons. Due to it’s deep pool and easy access, I used to come here several times a year. I went three times in September. I even scuba dived there once and played poker and read the newspaper underwater. I will miss it. If you have not been I urge you to go before it closes.

After 11/1 All waterfalls in Wutai will be closed. You will only be able to visit them with an official guided tour (1600 for half day, 2500nt full day, up to 21 People). These tours are mandatory to visit the waterfalls, not optional. Tours may not be available for this waterfall. If they are not available, even paying the fee won’t allow you to visit the waterfall. Even If they are available, one guide can not look after 20 people. Swimming will not be allowed. Now is your last chance to visit this waterfall. You have two weeks. Make them count.
